DGM – Industrial Relations

Bluspring is looking for a seasoned Industrial Relations leader to drive proactive labor and union management strategies across our multi-location operations in India. This is a critical leadership role focused on ensuring harmonious employee relations, statutory compliance, and workforce continuity across large-scale operations.

 

 Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the Industrial Relations (IR) strategy across all sites, plants, and units in India
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trade unions, labor departments, and statutory authorities
  • Drive compliance with Indian labor laws; oversee audits and risk assessments
  • Lead wage negotiations, long-term settlements, and dispute resolution initiatives
  • Act as the escalation point for critical IR issues and crisis management
  • Guide plant HR and operations teams on grievances, disciplinary actions, and IR best practices
  • Develop and implement standardized IR policies across businesses and geographies
  • Track legal developments and proactively advise leadership on risks and implications
  • Conduct training programs on labor law compliance, union handling, and grievance mechanisms

Desired Profile

 

  • 15+ years of experience in Industrial Relations, managing multi-location operations
  • Strong hands-on experience with unions, wage settlements, strikes/lockouts, and statutory compliance
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws (Factories Act, ID Act, CLRA, etc.)
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Balanced, solution-oriented approach to conflict resolution
  • Experience in facility management, manufacturing, security services, or logistics is preferred
  • Master’s degree in HR / Industrial Relations / Labor Law from a reputed institute
